PTR Page Formatter Dialog Box

How do I get to this dialog box?
  1. Select Paths in the left pane, then click Add.

  2. Select one of the path types listed below and click OK.

  3. In the Add Path dialog box, click Configure. (In some cases, this opens a sequence of dialog boxes, and PTR Page Formatter opens after you click OK in those dialog boxes.)

    PTR_COM (after Comm Configuration )

    PTR_LPT (after LPT Configuration )

    PTR_CATHAY (after Comm Configuration and CATHAY Path Configuration )

    PTR_NTGWTCP (after the TCP/UDP Path Options and Printer Configuration )

Select from the following to determine how the PTR Page Formatter service library handles new line sequences, such as carriage returns and line feeds.

Passthru Printing All margin, header, and footer formatting is disabled. Use this option if the host sends the formatting for the printer.
CR Advances Paper When a carriage return is found, the printer advances the paper in addition to moving the print head to the beginning of the next line.
LF Returns Carriage When a line feed is found, the printer moves the print head to the beginning of the next line in addition to advancing the page.
Independent CR and LF If only a carriage return is found, the printer moves the print head to the beginning of the line, but the page is not advanced. If only a line feed is found, the printer advances the paper, but the print head remains in its current column position.

Enter the information that you want to appear in the header of the printed document.

Default value: Printed &d at &t

If you do not want a header, delete the default content.

This text box can contain up to 80 characters. You can enter any combination of text and the following predefined variables:

&p Page number
&d Date
&I Date in dd/mm/yy format
&t Time
&u Time and date (24 character string for UNIX)

Enter the information that you want to appear in the footer of the printed document.

Default value: Page: &p

If you do not want a footer, delete the default content.

This text box can contain up to 80 characters. You can enter any combination of text and the predefined variables described above.

Margins

Specify margin settings.

Left Range: 0 - Right margin value
Default value: 0 characters
Right Range: Left margin value - Right edge of paper (maximum 9999)
Default value: 80 characters
Top Range: 0 - Bottom margin value
Default value: Row 3
Bottom Range: Top margin value - Page size value
Default value: Row 63
Page Size Range: Bottom margin value - 9999
Default value: 66 rows
