6.4 Updating to iPrint Appliance 23.4 through Product Upgrade Channel

For updating both the iPrint Appliance patches and the appliance OS, use the product upgrade channel. This is applicable to All-in-One deployments and large deployments.

Prerequisite:

  1. Update the iPrint Appliance 5.x to iPrint 5.0.3.

  2. Update the iPrint Appliance 5.0.3 with iPrint-5-2023-381.

NOTE:When updating the iPrint Appliance from any of the supported versions to version 5.0, you must import the certificates again for LDAP source synchronization.

Procedure:

  1. Navigate to the iPrint Appliance Configuration Console (https://appliance_ip_or_dns:9443) as vaadmin.

    By default, the Product Upgrade icon is enabled for updating the appliance patches.

  2. Click the Product Upgrade icon with a notification badge.

  3. Click Start.

  4. Click Agree on the License Agreement page.

  5. Click Register to register the appliance with the OpenText Customer center. If you have already registered the appliance, you need to register it again. Use the same Activation Key (iPrint Appliance 5.0.3) that was used earlier for registration.

    or

    Connect to the local SMT server that has the update files.

    For information about using the Register Online Update Service, see Section 10.10, Online Update. Wait for the appliance to register. After the registration is complete, the patch installation will start automatically.

  6. Click OK in the Update Now dialog box.

  7. Click Reboot.

NOTE:Once the reboot is completed, the installed patches are listed under online update. Patches installed prior to 5.0 are removed from the list.
